Is life getting on top of you? Are you feeling depressed, anxious, grieving or suffering a trauma? Perhaps you’ve lost your sense of self, something many women experience after becoming a mum or transitioning to a new stage of life. 

When life becomes too difficult and it all feels too much, you need someone to lean on. You don’t need to do it alone. And that’s where an experienced counsellor can help.

In a safe, comfortable and non-judgemental environment, I encourage you to speak freely and share your thoughts and feelings with me. Together, we’ll reflect upon how your past experiences influence your life today. 

What we uncover may make you feel uncomfortable or uneasy at times. But you won’t be alone. I’ll be right there with you, with heartfelt compassion and care. 

During our time together, you’ll learn practical ways to cope, build resilience and ultimately, improve your outlook on life. These invaluable lifelong skills provide a holistic approach to your mental health and wellbeing.

My individual counselling approach

I appreciate this is a difficult time for you. That’s why I’m here to listen to your story without bias or judgement, and accept you just as you are. While our sessions may bring up uncomfortable thoughts or feelings, I will support you with compassion and care. 

Therapies

I use a range of evidence based counselling therapies which focus on self-acceptance, connection with others and clarity to make choices aligned with the life you desire. All therapy modalities have a strong theoretical basis and are clinically supported. 

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – helping you to understand your values and how to make mindful choices aligned with what’s most important to you.

  • Compassion Focused Therapy - Helping you to be kinder to yourself so you can give yourself gentle space to work on the areas that you would like to improve upon.

  • Emotion Focused Therapy - Helping you to understand, process and use emotion in a psychologically safe space.
